In 2016 Fiona was Storyteller-in-Residence for DLR County Council. As part of her residency, Fiona:
– worked with Ballyogan Childcare Services and Balally Queen of Angels National Primary School (Junior infants, 1st and 3rd class) over 9 weeks.
– put together a programme of professional development workshops for storytellers ( tandem storytelling, kamishibai, voice and vibration, clowning).
– collaborated with Turkish storyteller Senem Donation on “Once Upon a Place” an education and community storytelling programme around tandem storytelling and the harvesting of local stories which culminated in public performances in Dublin and Istanbul.
– designed two public events: Story Nap for Culture Night, and Wisdom Fair for DLR Festival of Inclusion.
