5 Lamps Festival, Connolly House, Dublin
Story Nap sought to offer some respite and nurturing to workers and students in the Five Lamps area of Dublin. In a large hall we made 5 napping stations with cushions, beanbags and blankets. On hold were 5 storytellers. When someone arrived they were assigned a personal storyteller, accompanied to one of the napping stations, and asked at what time they needed to be woken up, after which the storyteller would tell them stories as they fell asleep.
Storytellers were: Michael Phelan, Nina Tanis, Eleonore Nicolas, Fiona Dowling and Adam Wilson from the storytelling collective Story- O.
